This Christmas four Wylder authors have teamed together to give us a treat. When a train filled with Christmas gifts and passengers derails in Wylder, new characters and old favorites are tasked to see the holiday spirit through the wreckage. The first of these books I enjoyed is the much anticipated Christmas in the Wylder Jail by the team of Nicole McCaffrey and Kim Turner. As a longtime fan of the series, I have been waiting for the happily-ever-after between Miss Addie, our favorite Madam, and her long-time beau Russ. Not only do these two find their way into each other’s arms but we get glimpses into their past to enjoy their first meeting and first kiss. Here’s my full review: Kim Turner teams up with Nicole McCaffrey to write Christmas in the Wylder County Jail. This is the tale of two beloved Wylder characters – Adelaide the Madam and her besotted companion Russ. I loved how this book is a western spin on It’s a Wonderful Life for Miss Addie. Fans of the series will experience when they met and how they fell in love. With all the cameos from other characters of the series, this is a Christmas gift to their fans. I loved having my questions answered about Russ and Addie’s past as well as living their happily-ever-after. The mystery which lands Addie in jail is a fascinating journey but I fear if I comment on it more, I’ll give away spoilers. Overall, I highly recommend this romantic mystery about second chances, the old west, and a madam who will steal your heart to the hopeless romantic with the Christmas spirit. Next up is Laura Strickland’s Christmas treat – A Wyld Night for St. Nick. In my opinion, this is the steamiest of the Wylder book series. Here’s my full review: Laura Strickland is giving everyone a crush on Santa in her western romance, A Wyld Night for St Nick. Wowsa! Nick is a mountain trapper outside of Wylder who rides into town to steal our hearts. When he saves multiple people from the Christmas train wreck, he is mistaken for St. Nick – if St. Nick had miles of muscles and a flowing, white-blond mane. His chemistry with Ella jumps off the page and singes your eyebrows as they mend her broken heart. This spicy addition to the Wylder series is not one to miss. I highly recommend this Christmas romance for fans of western romance, Wylder, or a romantic hero with a soft touch…ah-hem… I saved the best for last. Christmas in Wylder will make you laugh, cry, and nibble your nails away. Here’s my full review: As a major fan of Sarita Leone’s work, I expected to have my heartstrings tugged when I read her newest Wylder book, Christmas in Wylder. However, she has outdone herself. Meg is a sheltered woman who strikes out on her own only to have her plans ‘derailed’ (see what I did there) by a train crash in Wylder, Wyoming. From page 1, she won my compassion from her tragic backstory and unfortunate accident. Leone gives Meg plenty of surprises, a double-cross I didn’t see coming, and a villainous father who was frightening. Best of all she gives Meg a true knight in shining armor – Charles Tate. Tate is a swoon-worthy hero with the strength to rescue Meg repeatedly. These characters made this book an instant favorite of mine. Overall, I highly recommend this holiday romance for fans of westerns, spice, the Wylder series, and riveting characters.
