Today’s feature in Santa’s Crumbs is a magical treat. It’s no secret witchy books are my absolute favorite and Cherie Colyer’s Merry Little Wishing Spritz didn’t disappoint. I loved the magic, community, and humor in this book. Here is my full review –
Merry Little Wishing Spritz by Cherie Colyer has a magical twist on an enemies-to-lovers romance. To save her beloved bookstore from an entrepreneur, our witchy main character Cassie and her bestie, Peyton turn to magic. These characters quickly joined my book best friend’s list for their banter and loyalty to each other. I loved Colyer’s magical system and how it doesn’t always go as the conjurer intends. This made for scenes which may me giggle, sigh, and grip my Kindle with white knuckles at points of the story.
Our hero, Jack, is purchasing Lakeside Books and Jack is oblivious to the bookstore’s charm and the magic swirling in it. I love a hero who is genuinely good but lets his ambitions blind him to the nuances around him. It makes for an enemy who can easily convert to a hero. Colyer excelled in this as she made their rivalry believable but redeemable. I loved it.
Overall, I highly recommend Merry Little Wishing Spritz for a witchy Christmas tale. It is perfect for the paranormal romance lover who wishes to partake in some holiday cheer.
